What is HubSpot Marketing Hub?

HubSpot Marketing Hub brings together the tools a marketing team uses to attract visitors, turn them into leads and nurture them toward a sale. Marketers build landing pages and forms, send email campaigns, publish and monitor social media posts, manage paid ads and set up automated workflows that send messages or update records based on what a contact does.

Because it runs on HubSpot Smart CRM, every email open, form submission and page view is recorded on the contact’s CRM record, and marketing reports can attribute deals and revenue to the campaigns that influenced them. Lead scoring, audience segments and personalization rules draw on the same data to decide who receives which message and what content a returning visitor sees.

AI tools now handle much of the production work. Breeze agents draft blog posts, social content and landing pages, rewrite nurture emails for individual contacts and plan campaigns from a stated goal, while answer engine optimization (AEO) tools show how a brand appears in AI-generated search results. Marketing Studio, a collaborative campaign workspace announced in 2025, was updated in September 2026 to start from performance insights, alongside new integrations for ChatGPT Ads and Microsoft Advertising. Marketing Hub competes with email and automation tools such as Mailchimp, Adobe Marketo Engage and ActiveCampaign.

Key features of HubSpot Marketing Hub

  1. 01

    Email marketing

A drag-and-drop editor, templates and testing tools help teams build email campaigns, and AI can personalize messages for each contact using data already stored in the CRM.

  2. 02

    Marketing automation workflows

Visual workflows trigger emails, internal notifications, list updates and record changes based on form submissions, page views, lifecycle stages and other contact behavior.

  3. 03

    Landing pages and forms

Marketers build landing pages and forms without developers, and form shortening hides fields for returning visitors whose details are already stored in the CRM.

  4. 04

    Social media and ads management

Posts can be published and monitored across social networks from one inbox, and ad campaigns on networks such as Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising are tracked against leads and revenue.

  5. 05

    Breeze AI agents

Content, campaign, nurture, prospecting and customer agents draft content, plan campaigns, personalize follow-ups and respond to website visitors, with the work coordinated through Breeze Assistant.

  6. 06

    Attribution and analytics

Reports connect campaigns, channels and content to contacts, deals and revenue, giving marketers attribution data and dashboards they can share with sales leadership.

  7. 07

    AEO tools

Answer engine optimization tools, in beta in 2026, track how a brand appears in AI-generated search answers and suggest steps to improve its visibility.

History of HubSpot Marketing Hub

Marketing software was HubSpot’s original business. After a closed beta in 2006, the company began selling web-based software in 2007 that helped small businesses attract visitors through blogging and search engine optimization and convert them into leads, an approach its founders called inbound marketing. Free tools such as Website Grader, which scored a website’s marketing effectiveness, helped HubSpot build an audience of potential customers.

For its first decade the product was sold simply as HubSpot or HubSpot Marketing. HubSpot launched free and Starter marketing editions, originally called Leadin, in 2015 and renamed the product Marketing Hub in 2017 as it began organizing its offerings into hubs. More recently it has added AI content tools and Breeze agents, and it announced Marketing Studio in 2025 before expanding it in 2026 with connections to AI search and advertising platforms.
